Terms of Service

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Solve Games Guide practice platform, including all simulators, case studies, calculators and related services (together, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Age. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you are.

2. What the service is

Solve Games Guide is a practice platform offering:

• Sea Wolf ecosystem game simulator
• Redrock case study library with analytical challenges
• Sustainable Futures Lab missions
• Scoring calculator and solver tools
• Performance analytics and progress tracking

The Service is designed to help candidates prepare for consulting assessment games. Results from our simulators do not guarantee performance in actual McKinsey assessments or job offers.

3. Accounts

To use most features you need an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current and complete information when you register, and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and account secure.
• Accept responsibility for everything that happens under your account.
• Tell us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

One account per person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break this rule.

4. Payment and access

Payment

We sell one-time packages, not recurring subscriptions. Payments are processed securely by a third-party payment processor.

Access period

Each package grants access for a set period from the purchase date; standard packages include two weeks. When it expires you can buy a new package to continue.

Pricing

Prices are shown in pounds sterling, US dollars or euros depending on your location, and include applicable taxes where required. Prices may change, but changes never affect purchases already made.

5. Refund policy

This policy follows the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

14-day cooling-off period

You may cancel your purchase within 14 days of the purchase date without giving a reason.

Digital content exception

By accessing paid content (starting a simulation, opening a case study, or using the solver) you agree that we begin performance immediately and that you lose your right to cancel once you have started using it.

What this means in practice

• Cancel within 14 days and before accessing any paid content, and you receive a full refund.
• If you hit a significant technical problem, or anything else stops you using the Service as expected, contact us within 14 days and we will investigate and provide a refund or another remedy at our discretion.
• Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If the Service falls short of that, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

How to cancel

Email support@solvegamesguide.com with your order details within the 14-day period, with "Cancellation Request" in the subject line. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days and returned to the original payment method.

Refund guarantees

Ultimate tier customers may also be eligible for two separate guarantees, each with its own conditions, including a 60-day request window:

• A full refund if you are rejected by McKinsey and receive a Solve score below the 8th decile. The email on your McKinsey application must match your purchase email. See the Ultimate Refund Guarantee.
• A 50% refund if the investigation phase of your Redrock assessment did not follow any of the five formats in our library. Screenshots covering the whole investigation phase and the whole analysis phase are required as proof. See the Redrock Format Guarantee.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service reliable, but we cannot guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or round-the-clock access
• Error-free operation
• Freedom from viruses or other harmful components
• That content will always be current or accurate

We may:

• Modify, update or discontinue features, with or without notice
• Perform scheduled maintenance (we will try to give advance notice)
• Limit access temporarily for technical reasons

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share your login or let more than one person use your account
• Resell, redistribute or commercially exploit the Service or its content
• Use bots, scrapers or other automated systems to access the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract source code
• Copy, reproduce or create derivative works from our content
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms
• Circumvent payment systems or access controls
• Harass, abuse or harm others through the Service
• Submit false information or impersonate others
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers

Breaking these rules may lead to immediate termination of your account without refund.

8. Intellectual property

All content, simulators, case studies, calculators, software, designs, graphics, text and other materials provided through the Service are owned by Solve Games Guide or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

"McKinsey", "Solve Game" and related marks are trademarks of McKinsey & Company, Inc. We use them descriptively only; this does not imply affiliation or endorsement.

Licence. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes during your access period. This licence does not let you:

• Modify, copy or create derivative works
• Distribute, sell or sublicense the content
• Use the content commercially
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement
• Warranties about the accuracy, reliability or completeness of content
• Warranties that the Service will meet your requirements or expectations
• Warranties about exam success, job offers or any specific outcome

No guarantee of results. Using the Service does not guarantee success in McKinsey assessments, consulting interviews or job applications. Our simulators are educational practice, not official McKinsey materials, and may differ from the real assessments.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
• We are not liable for lost opportunities, lost profits, loss of data, business interruption or assessment failures.
• Our total liability to you for all claims arising from the Service is capped at the amount you paid for access.

Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, network infrastructure failures, strikes, or shortages of transport, facilities, fuel, energy, labour or materials.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

By you. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page or by contacting us. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account and access at any time, with or without notice, for:

• Breach of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse of the Service or of other users
• Non-payment or payment disputes
• Any other reason at our sole discretion

Effect. On termination you immediately lose access to the Service and any content associated with your account. No refund is given for termination due to a breach of these Terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these Terms at any time. When we make material changes we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Email your registered address
• Show a notice on the Service

Continuing to use the Service after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them. If you don't agree, stop using the Service.

13. Miscellaneous

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest continue in full force.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Solve Games Guide regarding the Service.

No waiver

If we don't enforce a right or provision, that is not a waiver of it.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account to anyone else. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
