Refund guarantees

Two guarantees, both for the Ultimate tier, each with its own conditions. Read the one that applies to you before you email us.

Ultimate Refund Guarantee

If you prepared with Ultimate, were rejected by McKinsey, and scored below the 8th decile, we refund the purchase in full.

Who qualifies

Tier
Ultimate only.
Outcome
A rejection from McKinsey after taking the assessment, with an official Solve score below the 8th decile.
Timing
Request within 60 days of your purchase date.
Email
The email on your McKinsey application must be the same one you bought with. No exceptions.

What doesn't qualify

  • A score in the 8th decile or higher.
  • A rejection without a score. Ask your recruiter for it first (see step 1 below).

How to request

  1. Email your McKinsey recruiter and ask for your Solve score and decile. The recruiter address is usually at the bottom of your Solve invite; in some regions it is a shared inbox such as MEO_Recruiting_Support@mckinsey.com.
  2. Email support@solvegamesguide.com with the subject line "Refund Request {order number}".
  3. Put your order number in the body.
  4. Attach the two original McKinsey emails: the rejection and the score. Forward them or attach the .eml files. For this guarantee we do not accept screenshots, and nothing may be edited, redacted or cropped.
  5. We review by hand and reply, usually within a few working days.

Redrock Format Guarantee

Ultimate includes cases for each of the five Redrock formats we have seen. If the investigation phase of your real assessment didn't follow any of them, we refund 50% of your purchase.

Screenshots covering the whole investigation phase and the whole analysis phase of your assessment. No McKinsey emails or score are needed for this guarantee.

What "format" means

A format is the structure of the investigation phase: the type and sequence of test and analysis questions you are asked to work through. It is not the general narrative. The story, the island, the numbers and the exact wording will all differ from our cases. A case with a different narrative and different figures but the same question structure is the same format, and is not covered.

How to request

  1. Email support@solvegamesguide.com with the subject line "Redrock Refund Request {order number}".
  2. Put your order number in the body.
  3. Attach screenshots of the whole investigation phase and the whole analysis phase, every question and every screen. Partial screenshots cannot be assessed. For this guarantee screenshots are the proof; we need to see the full question structure to compare it with our formats.
  4. We compare them against the five formats by hand and reply. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.

Both guarantees are separate from the 14-day cancellation right described in our Terms of Service. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
